March 16, 2017 4 min read

This week, Nyata goes behind the scenes to experience a day in the life of fashion’s freshest faces; Margaret Macpherson, Blaise McCann and Belinda Morgan. Join us as we attempt to bask in the reflection of their glow and radiance.

MARGARET MACPHERSON

1. What are your four favorite beauty tips to keep yourself looking fabulous and glowing?

Only four?? I have thousands!! My current favorite is my morning green smoothies. I have been having these religiously for weeks now and my skin has been glowing!! My favorite mix is spinach, kale, celery, broccoli, raw protein, spirulina, 1/2 banana, organic frozen berries and almond milk!!

Second beauty tip is coconut oil... It's amazing as a facial moisturizer, body lotion or a hair mask. It's a wonder product that gives you max hydration and glow.

Third would definitely be sunscreen (50+), make sure you slather it on!! You can use organic if you don't like chemicals but it is so important to wear this everyday, no matter the weather. You know what they say... it's much easier to prevent damage thanks fix it afterward.

And a final tip, for that instant glowing skin, before applying my makeup I like to place a small amount of my day moisturizer on an ice cube then rub it into my skin. It gives you an instant glow, reduces any puffiness and your makeup won't smudge.

How do you know Amber Gwynn and what do you love most about what she and her brand is doing for the fashion industry?

Amber and I go way back from modelling in the curve industry, we have done many runways together over the years. I love her confidence and how she converts that into her brand. All her pieces are sexy, colorful and fun, just how you should feel when you wear them!!

She has found a wonderful way to inspire women and help them become more comfortable in the skin they’re in… who doesn’t admire that?

BLAISE MCCANN

What are your four favorite beauty tips to keep yourself looking fabulous and glowing?

  1. My number one rule is moisturizer morning and night; it’s makes my skin feel so luxurious! Plus, it’s a wrinkle preventative! My Mum has made me wear moisturizer since I was 12!
  2. I’m a fan of dewy foundation, it looks natural and makes me feel like I’ve been on a tropical island!
  3. I love a bit of a smokey eye – but in browns and dark purples as I find they make my eyes pop a lot more, I usually wear an understated eye to my corporate job but when I’m modelling I vamp it up a lot more as well as when I go out at night.
  4. I don’t wash my fair every day, as I have curly hair and it dry’s it out. I usually try and let the natural oils do their thing, plus I use a leave in crème conditioner it helps keep my curls frizz free!

How do you know Amber Gwynn and what do you love most about what she and her brand is doing for the fashion industry?

I know Amber through Bella Management, she is such a genuine, open and warm human. I think it’s amazing that she is supporting plus size women into fashion forward clothing with a smile on her face and constant positivity.

BELINDA MORGAN

What are your four favorite beauty tips to keep yourself looking fabulous and glowing?

1. Hydration Hydration Hydration!!! Good ol' H2O and plenty of it and I am a big fan of 100% pure Coconut Water, it's natures hydrator 🌴🌴🌴 Great skin starts from within so nutrition is vital. Eat everything in moderation however always eat a rainbow 🌈 Load up on veggies, I love my greens!!

2. SLEEP!! Do not under estimate the importance of getting plenty of quality shut eye. At least 8 hours of zzzzzz's.

3. Get your sweat on 💦💦 Keeping fit and active is key for my well-being and beauty regime, it gives me that little inner sparkle and glow that all the beauty products in the world cannot emulate. Find what works for you... be it walking, running, hiking, interval training, yoga and get that blood pumping, your skin and bod will thank you for it!

4. Invest in a good eye cream. There are no subcutaneous cells around the eyes, so this area can be prone to fine lines. I love Keihls Avocado Eye Cream... and a little tip that's been around for years, use your ring finger (as it is the softest to touch around such a delicate area) and pat or lightly press a small amount of product from inner to outer corner along the orbital bone, never pulling or dragging the skin... gently does it!!

5.And a little bonus no brainer.... Always remove your make up and go to bed with clean, fresh skin. Even if is after a late night and you're like "meh CBF" Make the effort, even a quick little swipe with a baby wipe followed with a moisturizer, your skin will be forever grateful.

How do you know Amber Gwynn and what do you love most about what she and her brand is doing for the fashion industry?

I know the gorgeous Amber connecting through the Curvy community at a few Plus Fashion Events and of course through our Amazing agency Bella, were we both work as Plus Models on Bella's Curve Board.

I think what resonates with me and what I can identity most about Nyata is actually beyond the fashion itself. The message and the core essence behind the brand is wanting all women to be their true unique selves and to embrace and celebrate their individual raw beauty.... I totally dig that and it's what I am all about also! Empowering woman and helping them to embrace and accept their uniqueness and be the best versions of themselves.
